The Good Wine: a sermon from the 20th January 2019

There comes a time when the wine gives out; the glass is empty; the party is over. There is no vibrance or vitality – our world feels tasteless and devoid of colour. Where has the wine of our lives given out – what relationships have run dry? However, God never intended for us to live from our own resources; the day the wine runs is out is the beginning of a miracle. Jesus doesn’t just refill our glasses – he transforms our lives, changing colourless, bland water to a vibrant red wine which tingles the tongue with a full bouquet. Every moment of every day, Jesus pours into our lives – the good wine, endless and perfect.
