On Saturday the 9th December, Anne opened our 2017 Christmas Fayre and introduced Father Christmas – who spent time chatting with the children and handing out gifts!
There were a variety of tables doing brisk business selling colourful plants etc, cakes and more, bric-a-brac, books and a new table selling St Mark’s tea towels, diaries and notebooks. A lovely selection of prizes for the Draw were much appreciated, as was the raffle for the Dundee cake. The children enjoyed the lucky dip, face painting and competitive marbles balanced on a fork into a pot in one minute. Some had steadier hands and good technique, and one family, did very well!
Frances kindly played the piano while we sang a few Carols in the background amongst people enjoying a drink and mince pie, kindly organised by Erika and Andrea.
Thanks to everyone who kindly donated items, and helped on the stalls and in any other way making this a happy, festive occasion. The amount we made will be announced at a future date.
