An invitation to All Souls

Every year the Church remembers those we love who have died. The traditional name for this time is “All Souls”. At St. Mark we hold a special service to remember those who have died, especially those who have died in the last few years. This year the service will be on Sunday 28th October at 3pm and will be followed by tea and refreshments to which everyone is invited.

Over the years many people have found that this service has helped them to take a further step towards the healing of their memories and emotions as we remember those who have died and whom we have commended into the care of God. We extend a warm invitation to you to attend this service. Any members of your family and friends, who would like to come to the service, including children, will be very welcome. The service includes an opportunity to remember people by name and to light a candle as a symbol of our love for them. We will also have hymns and short readings. We do hope you will be able to join us and we look forward to welcoming you: if you would like a name read out on the day, please add this to the form at the back of church.

Can you help: all Souls Service

After the service we have tea and cakes. We are looking for a couple of volunteers to make a cake, please contact Maureen Barnard if you are able to help. 07541 721440

Ways of Giving to St Mark’s

Remembrance 2018

Thank you for all the poppies that you’ve been making, if you’ve got any more at home, please bring them to church, or to any of the drop off points by October 28th. (One Stop, Pharmacy, Musketeer, Social Club) If you’d like to help assembling the poppies, do come along to the Vicarage, 29 Ramley Road on Tuesday 23rd October, at 10am. All help gratefully received, no experience necessary!

Thanks from Sandy and Paul!

So many people were licensed and commissioned, at a service at Winchester Cathedral on Saturday 13th October – including our very own Paul and Sandy from our church!

Sandy and Paul are grateful for the support of all in our congregation: every one of us can spread God’s word, but we can only truly succeed with the support we offer one another.

Hospital Service

Please join us on Sunday 21st September at 3pm for a Service of Thanksgiving for our Hospital & Health Care in the Out Patient Department at Lymington Hospital.

Led by Hospital Chaplain Linda Lee as well as our own priest-in-charge, Rachel Noël.
