Sing Sway Concert: “Christmas Unwrapped”
At 7:30pm on 3rd December a concert will be held in church by the very popular Sing Sway. Featuring seasonal choruses from Handel’s Messiah, Christmas carols by the choir and some audience participation numbers too!
Tickets available in church at £7, to include cheese and wine.
Did you know that you can recycle your Poppy? Until 30 November, you can hand in your old Poppies at Sainsbury’s stores where they’ll be sent back to the Poppy Appeal warehouse in Aylesford. Returned Poppies are then dismantled – the button and stem are used again to make Poppies for next year’s Appeal, whilst the paper petal and leaf forms are recycled.
Christmas Fayre in Pennington
At the Pennington Christmas Lights Event taking place on 30th November, St Mark’s will be having various stalls in the hall at the Junior School. We shall be grateful therefore for any gifts of bric-a-brac items and tombola prizes together with bottles of wine and Christmas food items for the draw.
Do you want to host your own stall on the night? Although most spaces for stalls indoors have been taken, there is space outside – if you, or anyone you know – wanted to sell your wares on the night.

STOP PRESS: Great news! The Trustees of Traidcraft have decided to carry on trading in the new year albeit with a simpler range of products – establishing a core of grocery lines and carrying fewer craft items. The aim is to reveal the full plan by December – so watch this space!
